What is a landing page?
Landing Page is a specific type of web page designed to effectively encourage the user who arrives on it to take a particular action. A landing page is usually short, clear and focused on a single goal. The goal of this type of page may include, among others:

  • selling a particular product

  • newsletter sign-ups

  • pre-sale sign-ups

  • collecting customer data

  • gaining new website users

  • increasing traffic to our website

Types of landing pages

The type of landing page depends on the purpose it is created for:

  • Sales landing page - We choose this if our goal is to sell a particular product. This type of page aims to present the product clearly and persuade the customer to buy it.

  • Lead generation landing page - This type of page aims to quickly collect the customer data we are interested in.

  • Click-through landing page - This is a page designed to persuade the user to go on to the next page. An example would be a landing page encouraging visitors to go to our company website.

The key elements of a landing page

A well-made landing page should include several important elements, such as:

  • Design - One of the most important elements of a landing page is its design, which must suit the target group it is created for. The landing page should be made professionally and thoughtfully, so the design is best entrusted to someone who does this every day.

  • Content structure - Another important element is the structure of the page, i.e. the arrangement of the various pieces of information, the CTA button and other elements.

  • Optimisation - Optimising the page is very important, because most users may be put off by poor or missing optimisation.

  • Above the fold - This is simply the part the user sees immediately after opening the website. It is important to design this part carefully. Poor design of this key element can lead to a high bounce rate.

  • Call to Action (CTA) button - This is the most important part of the whole landing page, because it is what allows the user to take action. Its appearance depends on how it is used, for example:

When selling a specific product, the user clicks a button:

To collect contact details, the user fills in a form:

Creating a landing page

When creating a landing page, we need to keep in mind the many elements described above. Bringing them together requires the right expertise, so it is best to entrust the creation of a landing page to professional companies that do this kind of work every day, such as Nautil.

If, however, we decide to create a landing page on our own, we can use various online builders, such as: GetResponse.pl, Landingi.com.

If our website is built on WordPress, we can create a landing page using the Divi editor, which works on a drag&drop basis, or ready-made templates available here, which can help us build our landing page ourselves. Of course, when building a landing page ourselves, we must not forget all the important elements described earlier.
