A visit to the apiary

Yesterday a group of beneficiaries of Fundacja ADAPA (the ADAPA Foundation) visited our company's headquarters. We were very pleased to be able to share our passion with them and show them how our company and our apiary work. It was a special day, full of fascinating experiences.

First, we took our guests to the apiary, where they had the chance to see the bees at work. We showed them how pollen and nectar are collected from flowers and how honey is made and then sealed in jars. We guided them through the apiary store and then walked around the apiary, where the hives are located. We also came across trees and plants such as:

  • acacia,

  • lime

  • chestnut

  • a variety of flowers.

We also showed them the place where we store our jars of honey.

Next, we invited the seven participants and their carers to our meeting room, where we told them more about our company apiary. It was a highly interactive meeting during which everyone could taste our delicious honey and pack jars themselves, getting them ready for future sale. We also made beeswax candles, which our guests could take home.

About our work

During the meeting we also had the opportunity to talk about our accessibility work. Everyone was very interested, and we agreed that we will organise such meetings and talks more often.
We work with the ADAPA Foundation on accessibility projects and on reviewing Easy-to-Read text (ETR) as part of our "łatwytekst.pl" project.

We encourage you to visit the ADAPA Foundation website and its Facebook page, where you can find out more about our meeting. It was a wonderful day full of learning, mutual inspiration and the joy of sharing our passion with others.
